The artificial concrete pile head splitting machine is designed for dismantling structural elements such as roof beams, cement columns, and reinforced concrete structures. Utilizing the inherent brittleness of both rock and concrete, this compact device employs a wedge mechanism that generates substantial fracture force when operating within narrow spaces, effectively breaking reinforced concrete columns, pile heads, and bridge components. It serves as a practical alternative to traditional pneumatic chisels and impact hammers, offering simple and efficient demolition capabilities.
The manual concrete pile head splitting machine was developed based on the low tensile strength of rock and concrete, as well as the operational principle of safe and reliable wedge block assemblies. First, a hole with a predetermined diameter and depth is drilled into the structure to be removed using a standard pneumatic drill or rock drill. The splitter is then inserted into the hole; under 60 MPa hydraulic pressure, the central wedge drives a pair of opposing wedges to expand outward toward both sides of the hole. When the expansion force exceeds the material’s tensile strength, the structure is internally split open. Fine steel bars (≤8 mm in diameter) can be simultaneously broken, while thick steel bars can be severed using methods such as gas cutting, thereby achieving effective demolition.
